{Town} eateries with outdoor seating
{Town} is lucky to have a variety of restaurants and cafes that provide charming patio spaces where we can savor our favorite meals outdoors. Here are three of my family's favorite {town} restaurants with outdoor seating:
🍽️ Andover
Plenty of outdoor dining options here—try Oak & Iron Brewing Co. for craft brews and picnic-style outdoor fun, or settle in at the popular Autograph American Tavern downtown with its family-friendly courtyard seating
Other favorites include La Rosa’s, Elm Square Oyster Co., La Fina, Crack’d Kitchen, and 99 Restaurant for breezy evening dining . A more upscale setting awaits at 34 Park, with a sleek patio and modern Italian cuisine.
🍹 North Andover
Soak up the sun at Tavern On High, offering craft beer, martinis, and a dog-friendly patio in the historic West Mill
Burtons Grill offers a shaded outdoor patio ideal for weekend brunch and cocktails in the Eaglewood Shops . For a relaxed neighborhood vibe, check out Brix Grille on Salem Street.
🌤️ Methuen
Dine in the sky at Parlay Restaurant atop Merrimack Valley Golf Club, where meals come with sweeping views . Pica’s Pub & Grill delivers classic pub fare and live music with outdoor seating . The Sandtrap Bar & Grille also offers a scenic patio at the golf club, perfect for sunsets and neighborly vibes . Casual eats await at Irish Cottage Pub with outdoor tables in a laid-back setting 🌳 Haverhill & Lawrence
While fewer outdoor dining spots are featured online, both towns have growing casual eateries and pubs with patios—worth exploring locally.

🌄 Groveland, Georgetown, Middleton, Boxford
These smaller towns don't have many formal patio spots, but their scenic charm makes them perfect for:
- Farm stands and BYO picnic meals at local farms
- Takeout enjoyed riverside or forestside, like in Groveland or Boxford’s Stiles Pond .
✅ Outdoor Dining Essentials
- Reserve ahead: Many popular patios fill quickly on weekends—call ahead.
- Check dog-friendliness: Tavern On High welcomes pups in North Andover.
- Plan evening visits: Sunset-sipping is stunning at Parlay or Sandtrap with golf course views.
- Combine with activities: Dine out after a hike in Harold Parker State Forest or a stroll along the Shawsheen River Reservation
Whether you're craving a casual burger under the sky or an elevated sunset dinner with a view, this guide has something for every patio lover. Bon appétit and cheers to alfresco dining!
